Safety Instruction for the Operation and Use of the Farming GT - Model 2024

The safety instruction for the use and operation of the Farming GT weeding robot with optional spot spray extension (Model 2024) must be conducted before handing over the machine to the user. It precedes the instruction on the operation of the machine. This safety instruction was conducted by:

In general:

• Only trained personnel may operate the machine
• Do not operate the machine under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication
• Operate only when the machine is in perfect condition (no defects)
• Maintain a safe distance
• Press the emergency stop button whenever approaching the machine and reset only when safety is restored
• Always have the emergency stop pendant in hand when maneuvering
• No passenger transport
• Completely turn off the emergency generator before refueling (key switch in the "Off" position)
• Rotating beacon "on" means vehicle drives are active, i.e., caution is advised and there is a potential hazard; rotating beacon "off" does not mean there is no potential hazard.
• The smartphone app is not a safety device; it is only for setting machine functions: (incoming call, app crashes, water on the display, Wi-Fi connection drops, battery empty, etc.)
• Use the spot sprayer extension only with full protective gear (gloves, respiratory protection mask with eye protection, overall), additional qualification (plant protection certificate or equivalent abroad) required.
• Refueling with plant protection products and clear water only with emergency stop and the mobile refueling unit approved by farming revolution.

The following types of hazards were explained with exemplary examples and protective measures:

Overrunning, Crushing, and Shearing Points

• Wheels, steering, pendulum axle
• Weeding tools (lifting function, parallelogram, milling cutter, and swivel arms)
• Bumper
• Emergency generator (vibrations, pinching)
• Attach weeding tools only in the lifted state
• Loading and transporting the machine (removal of side protection and protruding weeding shares, ...)

• Maneuvering on the trailer and with obstacles:
  • only with the emergency stop switch of the pendant in hand
  • Claw coupling (secure vehicle against rolling away, only connect in jacked-up state)
• Do not stand in front of / behind the robot on inclined surfaces (e.g., on ramps)

Entrapment Points

• Weeding tools, drive wheels, steering
• Hair, gloves, clothing can be drawn in

Unsecured Load

• Transport of the machine on trailer or truck
• Secure with suitable lashing straps
• Load via ramps or with slings over towing eyes (only with low-loader)

Fall, Tipping

• Loading, slopes (>25%), track width notice
• Beware of tank sloshing, use emergency stop in danger.

  • Set up markings and signs
  • No dangerous obstacles in the field
  • Only in compliance with the sowing strategy
  • Machine may only move in the field, do not cross paths
  • Minimum distance to paths (1.50m)
  • No road directly adjacent
  • Geofence must refer to the permissible field area

Organizational Deficiencies

• The operator (tenant) of the Farming GT is legally obliged to conduct a risk assessment and establish appropriate operating instructions

Consent to Data Usage

I hereby authorize farming revolution GmbH to use my application-related and personal data under the conditions listed below:

• Purpose of Use: The data will be used for the following purposes:
  • Improvement of products from farming revolution GmbH (e.g., accuracy of plant recognition, efficiency of weed control, performance of turn navigation, etc.)
  • Support services (e.g., analysis of customer-specific errors, remote maintenance)
  • Development of future products or services of Farming Revolution GmbH (e.g., yield prediction)
  • Contact for support and promotional measures
• Type of Data: These are application-related and personal data that arise when registering on app.farming-revolution.com or through the use of the product. These data include, among others:
  • Email address, name, and phone number
  • Machine-related data (e.g., sensor data for remote maintenance, machine configurations, error data, etc.)
  • GNSS positions of the machine
  • Field data (e.g., geofence polygons, row information, field configurations, etc.)
  • Plant and soil information (e.g., plant images, plant counts, weed types, etc.)
  • IP address (e.g., when registering)
• Storage and Security: The data will be securely stored in Europe and adequately protected to prevent unauthorized access
• Disclosure to Third Parties: Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties without explicit consent unless required by law
• When acquiring the machine through Pfeifer & Langen GmbH and Co. KG, part of the data will be shared with this company
• Right to Withdraw: There is the right to withdraw this consent at any time and cease the use of the data
• The use of the Farming GT is possible without consent to data usage, but limited. Functions such as creating and configuring fields, autonomous driving, remote access, support, and software updates are only possible with this consent to data usage
• I have obtained and documented permission from the respective owner/operator (e.g., farmer) of the areas to share the data collected by the Farming GT during use on the utilized areas according to this agreement. I will provide the corresponding consent of the owner/operator as proof upon request of farming revolution GmbH
• Duration of Consent: This consent remains valid until I withdraw it

I confirm that I have understood the above conditions and voluntarily consent to the use of personal data according to these conditions.
